What is Science Wizard Comics all about?
Science Wizard Comics as all about making and selling great, independent, creator owned comic books.
There are so many great artists, and writers out there just waiting to be discovered, bursting with ideas and drive to form those ideas into tangible stories and characters ready for audiences to fall in love with. We want to be a part of that process. We’re not just here to publish what these fine folks that we discover make, but we act as a team of people that can help to push their project to the very best that it can be. 2 heads are better than one. 6 are even better than two. For the artists and writers that we take on we provide a space, an atmosphere, and a team behind it that we hope will lead to further inspire and drive them through mentorship and critique.
Where does SWC stand politically?
Science Wizard Comics does not have a political leaning.
The team is made up of people with a variety of backgrounds and political beliefs. Our primary goal is making great indie comics. Politics doesn’t play into that. Our team is allowed to have whatever beliefs they want. As long as they respect the differences of their fellow creators and keep making great comics then that’s all we can ask.
How do I become a part of the team?

We are always willing to talk to new and up and coming creators. If we think you’re a good fit for our team we’ll let you know and get you involved. On a trial basis at first, because we do firmly believe that a strong work and social dynamic makes for a better environment for what we do and how we do it. Not everyone is right for this space. But if you are, we VERY much look forward to working with you and helping you put out the best comics you can.
What is your release schedule?
Generally we start with an Indiegogo campaign, then we release Print On Demand (POD) at indyplanet.com/science-wizard-comics. We then add the new title to the sciencewizardcomics.com store as official second printings and so on. Each new printing will feature a different cover. The official print run covers are also different from the patreon exclusive covers. Some titles, like special one offs (such as The Offspring), particularly if they’re smaller page lengths (under 22 pages) will go directly to POD with indyplanet and the sciencewizardcomics.com store with official print runs starting with a FIRST printing as opposed to a second like normal.
How do I know what printing a title is on?
All of our titles are labeled with our official branding on the back. The only issues that do not have text on the back cover labeling which numbered printing it is will be the FIRST printing. However all of the titles will have printing information on the inside information blurb. We will most likely also start up a cover gallery with all of that information in each individual title’s page. Some patreon covers will also not have the label on the back cover. Particularly if it is a naked variant(naked variants are ONLY available on patreon)
Will any titles ever go out of printing?
So long as we are still in operation and people are still buying the issues they will ALWAYS be available. Every issue of every comic. Each new printing is a limited quantity however so if you want a specific cover and that print run is finished it will never be available again and your only option to find that particular cover is through resale.
